Christensen Legal StaffAna L. Martinez Tapia joined joined Christensen Legal in August of 2023 as a Senior Paralegal. Ana was born in Michoacan, Mexico and migrated to the United States in 2003 and grew up in Wendell, Idaho. Ana moved to Boise in 2014 to continue with her education. On a personal level and through volunteering in the community, Ana understands how complex the US immigration system is and the difference that it makes when people have representation. Ana has been working in the immigration legal field since 2015 in both non-profit and private practice. Ana received her bachelor’s degree in political science with an emphasis in American Politics and Public Policy from Boise State University. Ana has had the opportunity to receive training by different immigration lawyers from across the country and has gained experience in the preparation of various types of cases, including: Asylum, Removal Defense, Board of Immigration Appeals, 9 th Circuit Appeals, Adjustment of Status, U-Visas, VAWA, Naturalization, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), Consular Processing, and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). Prior to joining Christensen Legal, Ana worked for a non-profit where she was a legal assistant and a fully Accredited Department of Justice Representative.

Additionally, Ana has volunteered in the community and has collaborated with different organizations who do immigrants’ rights work, including a fellowship where in 2014 she had the opportunity to travel to Washington D.C. to advocate for immigration reform.She participated in several different Naturalization Workshops across the state, assisting applicants with the preparation of their Naturalization applications. Ana is passionate about serving the community and served as a former board member of the Idaho Hispanic Youth Symposium. In 2021 and 2022, Ana participated with the Institute for Mexicans Abroad (IME) at the Forum Dreamers where she had the opportunity to interact with and collaborate with other leaders from across the country in a project that would impact the community here in the U.S., and abroad. In 2023, Ana was recognized as an Idaho Business Review Accomplished Under 40 honoree. During her free time, she loves spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys cooking and hiking.
