Julianne loves both the service and the technical challenge of practicing immigration law. She grew up in Pocatello. She holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a BA in English Literature from Oberlin College. She is licensed to practice law, including federal immigration law in Idaho, by the State Bar of California (Bar # 233737) since 2004. Julianne practiced immigration law for seven years from 2004 – 2011, providing pro bono representation to detained children and adults in removal proceedings in and around Los Angeles with Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc., and Catholic Charities of Los Angeles. She led a wonderful team providing a wide variety of social services to newly arrived refugees in Boise for twelve years from 2011 – 2023 with the International Rescue Committee. And she contributed for a little over a year to the important work of the ACLU of Idaho in their Advocacy Team from 2023 – 24. She joined Christensen Legal in November 2024, and looks forward to supporting each individual human being she can, with dignity and conscience. In challenging times, she cherishes the mantra : onward!
